About AgSURS Symposium

Fostering a culture of research requires open, collaborative partnerships among academia, scientists, students, and industry. Such collaborations not only generate new knowledge and innovative solutions to address real-world industrial challenges but also enhance undergraduate research skills. Knowledge dissemination is pivotal to this process, and symposia serve as excellent platforms for achieving this objective.
The Undergraduate Research Symposium of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (AgSURS 2026) represents a remarkable milestone for the Faculty. This event was established to provide undergraduates with a platform to present their final-year research projects to a wider audience.
With the theme “Empowering Research for Innovative Agriculture’’ the symposium brings together undergraduate researchers from diverse agricultural disciplines on a shared platform. It offers both scientific and industrial forums, enabling students to present and discuss their research findings while fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
